Discover Playa Blanca
Playa Blanca, Lanzarote’s prettiest resort
Playa Blanca is the jewel of the Canaries. Originally a small quaint fishing village, it has been sympathetically developed with style and tradition to put it at the forefront of upmarket Spanish resorts. Offering a smooth blend of traditional beauty and latest attractions, Playa Blanca features the stunning natural beaches of Papagayo to the fantastic new Marina Rubicon. An 18 hole championship golf course is due to commence construction shortly.
Playa Blanca is also a thriving and busy fishing town. As well as the great beaches, there are plenty of banks, supermarkets, chemists, doctors, hairdressers, plus shops, restaurants and bars galore. There is a local church service most Sundays. You will also be able to book excursions around the island, water taxis to Papagayo beaches plus take the ferry to Fuerteventura. Watersports abound, with plenty of choice for diving, sailing, fishing and snorkelling. The best surf is in Famara. Taxis are very common and cheap. There is a regular bus service that operates throughout Playa Blanca, plus another service to other island towns.
